Metal Fabricator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Metal Fabricator to join our team in Welshpool, WA. Working within our purpose build facility, the Maintenance fitter is responsible for maintaining various plant equipment machinery safely and efficiently.

• Some of the duties you will be responsible for include
• Maintaining and repairing plant & equipment such as metal products and structures.
• Perform preventative maintenance schedules, attend breakdowns and perform repairs using various welding techniques to join metal components.
• Determining job requirements from drawings
• Use hand and machine tools to shape and bend metal components
• Minimise downtime and implement constant improvement initiatives.
• Carry out inspections.
• Supervise maintenance team and factory staff
• Contribute to team structures to achieve Maintenance targets.
• Involvement with Company's continuous improvement targets.
• Actively taking part to resolve operational and HSEQ issues.

• About You
• We are seeking someone who ideally has
• Cert 3 - Engineering trade qualification in either :
• Boilermaking
• Fabrication
• Welding
• A high level of technical and diagnostic skills
• Has good written, communication and numeracy skills
• Is flexibility within tight time schedules in accordance with variable workload demands
• Has troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities
• Holds a valid driver's licence
• Forklift Licence - must have.
• Experience with conveyor belts is highly desirable

Pay : $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
