Safety Advisor

Our Weipa operation is currently seeking experienced Safety Advisors on an 8x6 roster FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns. You will be responsible for providing efficient and effective safety support services to our Mining team.

Reporting to the Safety Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment and safety culture among our employees and contractors.

Provide advice and assistance to ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements, Codes of Practice, processes, and Procedures.Identify risks and non-compliance issues.Implement OHS critical risk management programs.Coach and mentor frontline leaders and management in workplace inspections.Perform system audits to verify compliance against safety standards & legislative requirements.Investigate incidents and assist Operations in implementing corrective actions.Interpret safety data, incident investigations, and injury management cases.What is required? Minimum Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.Extensive experience in a similar role within the Mining and Resources industry.Proven success in leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing diverse teams.Strong understanding of Safety Management and pragmatic management systems.TapRooT / ICAM experience is desirable.TAE Certification is highly advantageous.About CSI Mining Services A wholly owned subsidiary of Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX : MIN), CSI Mining Services is a leading provider of pit-to-ship mining services.
