Talent & Recruitment Manager @ Manteena GroupPosition Overview Manteena is seeking a proactive Safety Advisor to help deliver safe, compliant project environments. You will coordinate on-site safety activities, support inspections and audits, and contribute to safety meetings and reviews. Working closely with project teams and external authorities, you'll ensure safety standards are upheld. Your role includes managing documentation, leading site inductions, and promoting a strong safety culture across all projects.

Key Responsibilities : You will be responsible for driving a safety culture across designated projects. Working closely with various project teams, you'll ensure all safety matters are effectively coordinated on-site.

Uphold and model Manteena's values and expected workplace behaviors in all interactions.Support project and site teams in implementing safety requirements while maintaining positive working relationships.Reviewing contractor's compliance with Manteena's systems, including SWMS, plant documentation, SDS and project safety plans,Maintain and monitor Manteena's safety systems and procedures across all project sites.Assisting in appointing Health and Safety Reps on Manteena sites.Identify, assess, and document operational risks using Manteena's risk and compliance framework.Participate in internal and external WHS audits, addressing findings in collaboration with the Safety Manager.Perform regular audits of Manteena and subcontractor systems and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.Demonstrate operational understanding of key regulatory bodies (e.g., ABCC, OFSC) and ensure their requirements are met on projects.Appropriately escalate safety performance concerns to the Safety Manager, ISM, or Operations Manager.Ensure timely and accurate reporting, investigation, and documentation of WHS incidents in line with legal obligations.About You : Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance and WWVPMinimum of 2 years' experience in work health and safety within a construction-safety related roleStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.Demonstrated experience working and complying to The Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations.An understanding of the Work Health and Safety Accreditation programs as administered by various external regulated authorities (OFSC, etc)Qualifications : Certificate IV or Higher in Work Health and Safety (Mandatory)White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica AwarenessFull Australian Driver's License and Own VehicleOther Building and Construction Qualifications Highly Regarded.Why Join Us : Manteena is a values-based, family-friendly company, and we aim for our staff to have a good work-life balance.
