Cardiologist

The Position

The Department is seeking an experienced Cardiologist to join the team on a full time basis.

You must hold the FRACP to be considered for this position.

Whatever your fancy this city has plenty to offer from boutique wineries, stylish cafes, galleries, heritage exhibitions and museums to rugged national parks, antique stores, spectacular lookouts, gracious old hotels and stunning gardens. All just 1 ½ hours from Brisbane. As one of the few regions in Queensland with four distinct seasons, this area has an all year-round abundance of natural beauty and charm.

The Facility

This is a 320 bed facility that is the major referral centre for the region and provides public health and hospital services for a population of approximately 265,000 people and is expected to grow to over 360,000 in the next 20 years. The Hospital and Health Service demographics are diverse and include major provincial and small rural community settings, in the 85,000 square kilometres served. The Hospital and Health Service has a major teaching role, providing both undergraduate and postgraduate clinical experience. The Hospital and Health Service currently employs over 4,000 staff.

The Requirements

One or more of the following :

• Hold Specialist registration with AHPRA
• Possess at least 12 months recent experience as a Cardiologist
• Hold the FRACP
• RACP trainee approaching Fellowship
• IMG's already assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable.
