Job Description

• Provide sound tax planning advice and solutions to the business on day-to-day tax matters, e.g. tax asset effective lives, GST and expense reimbursement.
• Leverage interpersonal skills to authentically communicate with cross-functional stakeholders in the delivery of outcomes consistent with the companies tax management objectives.
• Advise and educate the wider business of key changes in tax legislation and reporting requirements, Double Tax Agreements, cashflow planning, tax governance and tax risk management, and transfer pricing requirements.
• Assist with external tax reviews and audits from the Australian Taxation Office, foreign tax authorities, and external tax advisors.
• Accountability for the preparation of Group's consolidated and standalone tax effect accounting calculations and note disclosures for the year-end and half-year reporting periods

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Tax Accountant should have :

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA).
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian Tax Laws.
• Experience in tax compliance and strategy within the resources industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage relationships with external auditors and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and business decisions.
