Job Description
The main responsibilities of the role will include but may not be limited to the following :
- Provide analytical and market-driven research to shape procurement strategies that align with operational goals, cost targets, and risk profiles; includes the assessment of supplier markets, identification of sourcing opportunities, and the provision of advice on optimal contract models and negotiation levers.
- Ensure the existing suite of contracts within the designated remit are managed in strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant legal frameworks; this includes but is not limited to the maintenance of accurate records, adherence to key contract milestones, and management of performance / obligations as per the contract.
- The ability to autonomously prepare, manage, and evaluate the end-to-end tender process, including drafting tender documentation, managing pricing submissions, conducting negotiations, preparing evaluation and recommendation reports, and reviewing terms and conditions.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following :
- Previous experience developing, sourcing, and managing contracts within one of the following verticals; construction / civil, mechanical, processing equipment, and or chemical / reagents.
- Demonstrated experience within negotiations across commercial savings, dispute / claim resolution, variations to terms and conditions etc.
- A comprehensive understanding of contract law and the subsequent ability to identify and manage risks.
- Tertiary qualifications within either law, finance, engineering, or construction management.
