This is a unique opportunity to work within a technically diverse, fast-evolving team that combines operational support, engineering studies, business improvement, and long-term project delivery.About the Role : As a Principal Consulting Engineer, you'll play a critical role in delivering underground technical excellence and driving continuous improvement across our global operations.

Working closely with internal teams and external clients, you'll advise on mine design, drill & blast, scheduling, ventilation, and planning, while also leading key initiatives that deliver safe production and optimised performance.This position reports to the Head of Mining Technical Performance.

You'll be based in Perth, with irregular travel to sites across Australia, Africa, and North America.Key Responsibilities : Deliver high-impact technical solutions across a diverse portfolio of underground mining projectsLead and contribute to operational support, technical studies, tender support, and cost forecasting activitiesProvide expert input on mine design, drill and blast, ventilation, and schedulingConduct technical reviews and support mine planning across monthly, weekly and life-of-mine horizonsIdentify and implement business improvement opportunities with a strong safety and performance focusCoach and mentor internal team members and support capability development across the groupFoster strong relationships with clients, site teams, and key stakeholders across all regionsAbout you : 10 years in-depth Technical and Operational experience across different mining methods.5+ years' experience leading or mentoring teams in a technical capacityDeswik software expertise (essential); Ventsim and other design / scheduling software highly regardedStrong written and verbal communication skills, including technical reportingUnderstanding of statutory requirements; Underground Supervisor or First Class Mine Managers certification highly valuedA proactive, collaborative approach and a passion for problem-solvingAbout the Team : This is an exciting time to join us.
