Senior System Administrator

Please clearly indicate the level held within your responses.Systems Administrators perform and achieve systems administration work within an integrated workforce.Key duties and responsibilitiesAPS6 equivalent System Administrators to fill positions across the organisation.Suitable candidates will be required to complete Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA).

This will be required either prior to commencing or within 12 months of commencement, as required by the assigned work area.

Successful candidates will be allocated to work areas based on operational needs.Job DescriptionWe expect the candidates will provide detailed systems administration, technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.Job Duties and Responsibilities may include : Accountable to perform routine installations and de-installation of items of hardware and software according to the Australian Signals Directorate and organisation policy and procedures.Provide advice and specialist guidance to colleagues to ensure best use is made of available assets and to maintain or improve the installation service.Work collaboratively with the team and contribute to solutions and goals of a non-routine or contingency nature.Design and implement solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.Solve issues for a defined range of unpredictable problems following established operating policies and procedures.Accountable for installation projects, providing effective team leadership and ensuring the information flow to and from the stakeholder during project work.Build and sustain effective working relationships with team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.Location of work : ACT, QLD, VIC, WAWorking arrangements : OnsiteSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting
