St Damian's is seeking one (1) Learning Support Officer to join our dynamic team of educational support staff. Learning Support Officers (LSO's) work within the classroom to support students with additional needs. LSO's work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to ensure that the students have equal access to the curriculum and support them, under the direction of the classroom teacher, to achieve their full potential.

The timeframe is 9.00am - 2.00pm, Monday to Friday or by negotiation. (20-25 hours per week.) The position will commence in Term 2, April 26th.

The successful applicant will :

  • have the capacity to enrich and enhance the development of our school culture
  • demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
  • demonstrate a passion for learning and instill this in the students
  • have experience in working with students diagnosed with ASD or other diagnosed needs
  • be flexible and open to working with students across the year levels.
  • Special Requirements

    • Applicants must have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic education.
