A leading Australian gold producer is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to support underground mine operations at one of its flagship sites in the WA Goldfields. With multiple assets in ramp-up and a strong focus on underground development, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to both planning excellence and strategic mine performance.

You'll be responsible for driving integrated mine planning outcomes and supporting site execution through efficient scheduling, stope design, and performance tracking all within a team that values autonomy, accountability, and hands-on problem solving.

Key Responsibilities Lead development of short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans across underground operations Optimise stope and development designs to meet safety, production, and reserve targets Coordinate with operations, geology, and processing to align ore delivery and sequencing Conduct scheduling, forecasting, and compliance reporting Support LOM planning, budgeting, and scenario modelling Mentor junior engineers and contribute to planning team development Ensure alignment with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards Requirements Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent Minimum 5 years' underground planning experience in hard rock or gold Advanced user of Deswik and competent with 3Ms for scheduling and shift planning Strong understanding of stope design, backfill, drill & blast, and ventilation WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (desired) Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across departments Practical knowledge of WA mining legislation and compliance systems Why This Role?
