Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The Plutonic Gold Mine produces 85koz of gold annually. The Company also holds the Four Eagles Gold Project in Bendigo.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, the Company plans to bring three new mining areas at Plutonic into production.

The Role

Reporting to the Underground Mine Manager, this position is responsible for delivering the short term through to long term mine design, scheduling, and evaluation work. The Senior Planning Engineer will contribute to the growth of the Technical Services team by supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers. Ensure all members of the mining team have a clear understanding and direction of objectives through regular coordination and ensuring deliverables of monthly plans, area plans, and development designs to enable achieving budget targets. Improve mine planning processes, systems, and standards, and ensure maximum return on investments.

Ideal Candidates will have :

Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering

Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the mining industry.

Experience using Deswik CAD and Scheduler software.

Underground production and planning experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.

Significant experience in all planning processes, from long to short term.

Experience in all aspects of mine design (development and production).

Valid Driver’s Licence
