Labour Hire or Non-ongoing)Position SummaryThe EL1 Policy Specialist will play a key role in the Taskforce and will assist the EL2 Policy Specialist in delivering the program. This will include contributing to all policy aspects for this line of effort and will involve significant stakeholder engagement.
- Specific Duties / Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the program's work plan.
- Contribute to the scoping, development and costing of options for Australian Government consideration.
- Assist in leading the development of operating parameters and an operating model for a potential new entity through consultation and collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Support engagement with key stakeholders.
- Develop high-level written material, submissions and briefs.
- Ensure alignment with the program work streams and activities where appropriate.
- Identify and manage risks and issues including escalation of risks and issues where required.
- Other tasks as required.
The scoping and development of options, costings, operating parameters and the operating model will involve significant stakeholder engagement, with the role involved in convening working groups and focus groups.
- Essential Skills / Experience
- Demonstrated policy development and implementation expertise.
- Track record in successfully engaging with central agencies and scoping, developing and costing options for Australian Government consideration within timeframes.
- Strong ability to draft high-level written material, submissions and briefs regarding complex matters. - Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- To be successful in this role, the individual will need a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
