WHAT'S ON OFFERKEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe position of Operations Manager is to provide day to day leadership and management of the NSW business unit / s.
General duties include : _Take ownership, uphold and promote the companies core values throughout the company and with clients, key business partners and stakeholders.Identify and assess any internal and external issues that affect the company and bring them to executive managementBe responsible for optimum management and utilisation of plant, equipment and human resources.Provide leadership and foster effective teamwork throughout the company.Make certain that overall business unit / s performance is in compliance with the company policies, systems, standards and legislation.Provide input and oversight to the continual development and implementation of IMS policies, procedures, processes and practices.Manage, motivate and ensure that Project Engineers, Supervisors and crew deliver a safe and timely completion of projects, in line with the specification and construction program.Partners and coordinate with the Project Engineers for the optimum allocation and utilisation of plant, equipment and human resources to effectively carry out the project.Ensure all NSW requirements are understood, implemented and maintained on site.Plan and coordinate crew and subcontractors in an effective and timely manner.Provide expert construction advise when requested to the bid and tendering department.Recommend new overhead positions required within business units and assist with recruitment of those rolls.TO BE CONSIDEREDDegree qualification in civil engineering highly regardedSubstantial experience within a Tier 2 or large Tier 3 civil contractor environment - minimum of 5 years in a Senior Project Engineer or Project Management roleAwareness of risk, contractual and financial performanceStrong leadership in the area of performance management without compromising the group's employee commitment and cultural values
