About the Role

This Senior Financial Accountant role is purpose-built for a technically strong accounting professional, ideally coming from an audit or professional services background, who thrives in financial reporting and compliance environments.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your core focus will be on statutory reporting, audit coordination, and tax compliance. You’ll also contribute to monthly reporting and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards

Coordinate external audits, including liaison with auditors, preparation of schedules, and response to queries

Oversee corporate tax compliance, including income tax, FBT, and BAS, in collaboration with external advisors

Support internal controls, risk assessments, and compliance with financial reporting obligations

Assist in group-level financial reporting and consolidation processes

Contribute to month-end close activities, including review of P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting analytics

About You

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field

Minimum 3 years' experience, ideally from a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm, or a technical role in industry

Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and tax compliance frameworks

Proven experience in managing or supporting audit engagements and statutory reporting cycles

Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of operating independently with a high degree of accuracy

Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders
