RPS is seeking a Practice Lead - Defence Capability. This is a key leadership role within our Canberra team and will work alongside our well established, market leading Defence infrastructure delivery business. The role is full-time permanent and will support our clients and teams in planning and delivery major, complex Defence capability projects.

About The Role

As one of the Practice Leads, you'll oversee the development and delivery of your Team's business plan. You'll be responsible for strategic leadership, client relationship management, financial performance, team capability development, recruitment and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and grow the Canberra Defence Capability practiceDrive business development and client engagement initiativesOversee financial performance and project profitabilityEnsure timely, high-quality project delivery across a diverse portfolioFoster a collaborative and empowered team cultureGuide project planning, procurement, and resourcing strategiesMentor, develop and recruit staffDelivery positive client outcomes

About You

10+ years' experienceDemonstrated experience in leading high-performance teamsRelevant tertiary qualification in project management, systems engineering or logistics support or demonstrated equivalent experience / trainingA strong understanding of defence capability projects and strong networksProject management training or qualification desirableAble to successfully obtain and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline NV1 Security ClearanceStrong team player who enjoys working in a team environment.
