Job Description
The Head of Finance position is a classic all-rounder role but with a premium on business partnering. Core responsibilities include :
- Lead the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Support on tendering and pricing decisions and ensure commerciality of contracts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements in partnership with external partners.
- Manage cash flow and oversee capital expenditure planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise financial performance.
- Drive process improvements and implement financial best practices.
- Work closely with Group finance and ensure the seamless flow of financial information
The Successful Applicant
The incoming Head of Finance should have :
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in accounting and finance leadership roles, ideally with a previous reporting line to business / operations leadership.
- Strong knowledge of the industrial sector, with a preference towards industrial services and contracts.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a finance team.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools, with exposure to ERP implementations a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
