Sunshine Coast Radiology (SCR) has been operating for over 16 years on the Sunshine Coast, offering comprehensive practices with services including CT, MRI, Mammography, BMD, general X-Ray, Ultrasound to Nuclear Medicine.

SCR are on the lookout for a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a passion for imaging and an interest in developing skills in sonography. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career while enjoying the best of coastal living.

About the Role :

This role will be split between working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and as a Trainee Sonographer, working 3 days per week in Nuclear Medicine, and 2 days per week in Ultrasound.

Please note : for the first six months of this role, you will be working full-time as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, while you complete your Level 1 subjects for your post-graduate medical ultrasound course. Level 1 subjects are theoretical, and are required subjects before you commence scanning.

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radiopharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard. You will have an awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of general Nuclear Medicine.

As a Trainee Sonographer, you will be enrolled in a General Sonography post-graduate course. You will receive support in terms of clinical time with experienced sonographers.

What You’ll Need :

• Tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine
• Minimum 2yrs experience working in Nuclear Medicine
• Current AHPRA registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Current QLD Radiation Licence
• Registered in an accredited Sonography course (or willing to enrol).
• PET experience and Diagnostic CT Accreditation highly desirable but not essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Interest in or commitment to sonography training and development.
