About the role

As a Court Services Officer you will :

• Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of Court Services Queensland registries;
• Provide frontline services to court users on a daily basis, over the phone, in person and / or in court. In doing so, you will keep stakeholders of the courts at the heart of service delivery and respond to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner, ensuring the prompt resolution of enquiries, requests issues and complaints. Where required, in-court duties may include but need not be limited to :

o Unlocking and preparing courtrooms for the scheduled sittings.

o Making proclamations when opening, adjourning, resuming, and closing courts.

o Administering oaths and affirmations to jurors, witnesses, and interpreters.

o Maintaining security, care, and control of jurors.

o Handing out exhibits and other documents in court as required.

o Testing and operating courtroom technology and equipment.
