We are looking for a team player and motivated individual to join and manage the Database Administration team as part of the Integrations unit.

In partnership with the DBA technical lead you'll organise and manage the Treasury's Database staff with a focus on planning and delivering resources to projects and assigning business as usual (BAU) work, along with communicating BAU and other information to the director of the Integration unit.

You'll also take part in technical work, including maintenance of on premise database resources, providing database advice to business areas and developing the Treasury's Azure cloud data resources (architecture, governance, processes). You will need to possess a strong

technical background.

You can expect to get involved with non traditional data storage approaches that have become available to us in the Azure cloud.

As part of the small DBA team, you will get to engage with a range of stakeholders and work with various systems across the department. Key duties :

• lead, manage the DBA team with a focus on planning and delivering resources to project teams while ensuring business as usual systems are adequately resourced
• administer and manage Treasury's Microsoft SQL Server instances including highly available clusters, both on prem and in the Azure cloud, alongside other data storage systems
• contribute to the development and implementation of our BAU processes in the cloud along with migration of on premise databases to Azure
• manage support queues for DBA work
• support and upgrade database components of key corporate systems including Aurion, SAS, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft SharePoint Server
• collaborate with internal support teams and vendors to deliver outcomes that meet the business needs.
• Desirable Qualifications / Experience
• Tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field and / or equivalent experience as a database administrator (5+ years).
• Experience with SQL Server, from SQL Server 2012 to the different versions of SQL Server in the Azure cloud
