Horticulture Apprentice - 1St, 2Nd, 3Rd Year Or

Cornerstone Horticulture, Landscaping and Design is a company that has a high work ethic and a fantastic workplace culture. You will learn about all aspects of Horticulture including plant identification, pest and disease management, seasonal aspects of garden maintenance, lawn maintenance, workplace health and safety, cultivation and planting and tool operations. You will get the opportunity to work in some of the Central Coasts premier residential gardens designed by award winning landscape designers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated person to join our horticulture team. You will receive excellent training and mentoring in this position that will provide you with a career within this industry. You will be enrolled in Parks & Gardens Cert III, which will require you to attend Tafe one day per week. All tools, professional equipment, PPE and uniforms will be provided to you.

To be a successful applicant you must :

• Be eligible to enrol or be enrolled in TAFE NSW, Ryde Campus
• Hold a current Drivers Licence
• Hold a current WHS White Card
• Be physically fit and love working outdoors
• Be passionate about plants and creating and maintaining beautiful gardens
• Have a great work ethic and be able to work well as part of a team or individually
• Possess good communication skills
• Be honest and respectful dealing with workmates and clients
