Job descriptionStrategic Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of Estimating & Bid Management, responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) : Responsibilities Deal and negotiate with relevant sub-contract trades. Liaise with Contract Administrator and the Estimating Department concerning prices and materials requirements for projects throughout tender, new & live. Obtain appropriate documentation / information for the precise compilation of relevant market prices. Build relations with internal departments, external suppliers and sub-contractors. Analyse Tender Packages and Schedule of Finishes to determine what is specified and provide prices and produce alternatives. Maintaining extensive exposure to project management, design and construct systems and associated disciplines, systems and controls. Review tender documents and comment on Sub-contractor appropriateness, sourcing opportunities generally. Review SCP / priced BOQ and comment on rates and pricing. Be involved in subcontractor quotation review meetings on individual trades in the Bid phase. Ensure procurement agreements are understood and utilised. Potential new subcontractor vetting - provide risk assessments Ensuring the delivery of the project / s components and requirements exceed the parameters for time, cost, customer satisfaction, quality, and OHSE. Review tender reconciliations and provide constructive feedback. Skills & experience Degree qualification in Construction, Engineering or Quantity Surveying Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Extensive knowledge of Sydney construction market and subcontractors (ideally) How to apply
