Civmec has a unique opportunity for a Site Nurse to join us on a part-time contract t o conduct a range of health services including pre-employment medical screening, health surveillance, initial treatment of workplace injuries and proactive physical and mental health and wellbeing services to the workforce. You will be based in our corporate offices in Henderson.
The Role
- Provide a range of health services to our diverse workforce
- Undertake pre-employment medical screening, drug and alcohol testing and other fitness for work testing
- Initial injury response and triage, care for workers and referral to appropriate medical professionals and Injury Management, where required.
- Undertake health surveillance screening and organise additional screening where it is required to be undertaken by specialist providers
- Provide proactive initiatives for both physical and mental health to benefit the workforce and improve well being
- Liaise with Injury Management team, HSE teams, medical professionals, workers, supervisors and human resources team in regards to treatment and Injury Management.
- Maintaining appropriate treatment records and documentation in accordance with privacy and record-keeping requirements
- Work closely with the HSE and Injury Management teams and provide technical medical information and experience to various situations.
- Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed.
- Provide a monthly report outlining PEM and fitness for work assessments to IMH Lead, Group HSE Manager and Accounts within 5 days of end of month.

Tertiary Qualifications – Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)AHPRA Registered Nursing certificateHLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing3-5 years in an industrial nursing environmentMotivated self starter and able to work independentlyStrong clinical nursing knowledgeGood organizational skills with a strong work ethic and driveAbility to communicate effectively with a range of key stakeholdersApply a practical approach at all times and ability to manage changeMinimum intermediate level across the Microsoft Office Suite of Programs.
