Senior Operational Safety Specialist

Our client is seeking a HSE and operational risk leader to provide expert guidance across their high-risk, high-reliability operations in Australia and New Zealand. This role will ensure robust risk management frameworks across an automotive environment, supporting safety-critical operations through pragmatic tools, system design, and a people-centric approach.

Key Role Requirements :

• Lead risk management across complex operational environments;
• Develop systems, tools, and critical risk controls;
• Identify risks across OEM and asset lifecycle, understanding operational interdependencies;
• Provide advice to senior leadership and frontline teams;
• Foster safety engagement through people-focused strategies, supporting ANZ operations in high-reliability sectors; and
• Work closely with the corporate and site based HSE teams on holistic safety strategies and programs.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

You are a seasoned HSE or risk leader with deep experience in high-risk, high-reliability industries. Known for your strategic mindset, technical capability, and human-centred leadership, you can influence safety culture, implement critical risk frameworks, and drive practical risk improvements across complex operational settings.
