- have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on
- Building Supervisor
- to work closely alongside the Telecoms team assigned to install the radio telescopes on the internationally acclaimed
- Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO) Project.
- This position will initially be based in
- Welshpool
- where you will work five days a week, with the possibility of agreed-upon overtime as required. We anticipate having you mobilised to the site by
- March 2025.
- Once on site, you will follow
- 14 days on, 7 days off roster,
- with flights, meals, and accommodation all provided.- This remarkable project is situated in the stunning landscapes of Western Australia, about 800 km north of Perth, and you'll play a key role, reporting directly to the Project Construction Manager.
- About the role
- Conduct daily pre-start's, construction walk-outs, planning, scoping, and activities to ensure that site works can be constructed efficiently in accordance with the construction plans and delivery schedule
- Lead and manage internal and external crews advising their scope of works are dealt with promptly
- Liaise with designers and logistics teams to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of construction activities and highlight critical stock deficiencies in a timely manner
- Ensure appropriate documentation included in the work pack for each job and that all Quality documentation / ITR's are completed to a high standard and required timeframe
- Liaise with works crews ensuring adequate resources are available and assist Scheduler with 2 and 4 week look ahead
- About You
- Experience in a Supervisory position in the Civil Construction / Telecommunication Industry
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Previous experience working on Prefabricated Buildings
- Valid Driver's Licence and Current First Aid Qualification
