Project Financial Controls Specialist

• Responsibilities include
• developing, implementing, and maintaining project reports, including cash flows, forecasts and earned value
• tracking reports;
• analysing cost reports, present findings and provide recommendations to the Project Managers and
• Management;
• setting up Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for tracking detailed breakdown of project costs and contracts;
• cost tracking against Purchase Orders or Subcontracts;
• review Progress Claims and Variation Claims against Purchase Orders or Subcontracts;
• financial review of contracts;
• consulting with Project Scheduler on schedule progress and Project Managers on key milestones and issues;
• incorporating schedule and other key information into project monthly reports;
• analysing and reporting on cost data from ERP software; and
• act as a point of contact for financial questions from Project Managers and Management.
• have Accounting / Business or Construction Management qualifications;
• minimum five (5) years' experience in project controls;
• have excellent (fluent) spoken and written English;
• have good knowledge of project reporting including detailed and dashboard reports;
• be comfortable working independently to gather financial and forecasting information from project managers
• and contractors;
• possess excellent content planning and organizational skills;
• proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
• proficient in SAP;
• high standard of presentation.
