The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is an independent statutory authority established by the Australian Government to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services, and targeted education and public awareness programs.
The AEC values and commitments are an essential component of our operating environment and frame how AEC staff work. The AEC's focus is on electoral integrity through the values of quality, agility and professionalism.
You will join a team of staff across the country that ensures the proper conduct of the election and upholds the Electoral Integrity Framework. You will work across a diverse and dispersed network, working closely with our State Office, National Office and the other states and territories.
At the AEC you will develop strong connections with colleagues and supportive networks, as we all work to deliver an impartial and independent electoral system with high integrity.
The AEC is seeking motivated and resilient people, with the ability to contribute to organisational outcomes and work collaboratively, while supporting the Leadership Team. You will have commitment to building sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst working collaboratively with peers and staff. There are multiple opportunities available across our Enrolment Supervisor and Project Officer cohort.
The Enrolment Supervisor role is responsible for key event-based projects as well as processing enrolment transactions, assurance and maintenance activities. You will contribute to election planning and delivery while supervising and providing operational support to small teams.
You will be responsible for general administrative tasks, project management, team leadership, and delivery of staff training. At the direction of the Team Leader, you will also assist with other duties as required to support the successful delivery of events.
You will be required to build rapport and maintain stakeholder relationships, including liaising with stakeholders to assist in resolving moderately complex issues. Project Officers will have the ability to conduct analysis and research and report on findings with the ability to contribute new ideas and identify opportunities for business efficiency improvement.
Project Officers will support scheduling, venue booking, and monitoring completion of training delivered to Temporary Employment Workforce across a dispersed geographical area and will also support the procurement processes of the work area including using templates to initiate procurement and reporting activities.
