About the School
Western Cape College is a distinctive and community-driven school with campuses in Mapoon and Weipa, serving students from Prep to Year 12 across Cape York Peninsula. Staff have the opportunity to work in culturally rich and diverse environments, supported by a strong focus on connection, wellbeing, learning, and leadership. With a dedicated residential campus providing a culturally safe home for Indigenous students, the College plays a leading role in advancing remote and Indigenous education in Far North Queensland.
Your Opportunity
As the Head of Department, Student Engagement you will :
- Focus on initiatives to support the educational outcomes for students.
- Incorporate the vision of Early Childhood and State Schools Division into school planning.
- Develop the quality of teaching and learning.
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and the community.
The Head of Department, Student Engagement reports to the Principal.
