Full-time, continuing positionBased at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, DouglasHEWL 7 : $94,374.07 - $104,359.73 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, with a 3% salary increase from July and an additional 2.75% from December 2025.ABOUT THE ROLE James Cook University (JCU) is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Analyst to provide high-level technical expertise and leadership to support the University's scheduling systems and applications. This role plays a critical part in resolving complex issues and delivering data-driven solutions that enhance user experience while supporting JCU's operational and strategic objectives.
WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the effective delivery of JCU's scheduling systems and applications. You'll provide exceptional customer service and well-informed advice, ensuring communication is accurate, timely, and consistent with university's policies and procedures. By managing complex scheduling and timetable data, you'll deliver valuable insights that inform strategic decision-making and enhance operational outcomes across the institution.
You will lead the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and productivity of scheduling services, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of staff and students. Through your support of the University's timetable systems, you will also contribute to building capability within the Scheduling Services team by providing training and facilitating knowledge transfer.
Your expertise in data visualisation will enable you to design and maintain dashboards and reports that promote transparency and improve access to critical information. Working closely with stakeholders, you will apply data-driven analysis to help plan and maintain high-quality learning and teaching spaces that align with the University's future needs.
