Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's commercial division is looking for an Associate Director - Project Management to join our Canberra team.

Working within friendly, professional and highly successful teams and reporting to the relevant regional Director, you will work across various commercial projects.

• Establishes and maintains a client-focused environment
• Leads business development activities and provides communication and focus
• Supports client organisations to develop and deliver major projects and programs efficiently and effectively
• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
• Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
• Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients
• Proactively takes strategic ideas and opportunities to our clients, and identifies new services that could add value
• Creates operational and strategic plans to ensure commercial goals are achieved, risks defined, and projects are on target
• Manages the delivery of team outputs in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards
• Qualifications
• Professionally qualified in one or more of the following fields : construction, cost management, engineering or project management
• Qualifications in Project Management or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Minimum 5 - 10 years' project management, in a similar industry.
• A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review
• Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
• Experience of leading project management commissions for medium, large, sized construction projects of medium to high complexity
• Experience of working within a client-focused consultancy environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills, quick thinking and resilience to deal with a fast-paced environment
