Director - Planning, Performance and Delivery (PPD)

The Directors within Planning, Performance and Delivery Branch will lead and / or coordinate initiatives and programs of work across the Commission to achieve whole-of-organisation strategic priorities. The Directors each lead a team to support strategic planning and governance, enterprise change coordination and delivery, and enterprise reporting. Each Director will drive the uplift in capability and continuous improvement of strategic capability across the Commission.

Planning, Performance and Governance

This team leads the Commission’s annual performance cycle and planning ecosystem, ensuring that strategic intent translates into practical, measurable outcomes. The focus is on embedding planning and governance approaches that are useful, connected and aligned to how the business actually works. The team partners with business areas to enable meaningful planning, performance storytelling and continuous improvement, while ensuring accountability through compliance with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.

Change Office

This team operates as a strategic enabler that supports and coordinates enterprise-level change initiatives to ensure delivery of strategic priorities. The Change Office partners with business areas to provide fit-for-purpose tools, change enablement support, visibility of change impacts and practical frameworks to help teams deliver outcomes successfully. The team fosters alignment, anticipates risks to delivery and drives consistent and people-centred approach to implementing change across the Commission.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :

• lead and manage a team that contributes to enterprise strategic priorities and programs of work
• develop and deliver enterprise strategies, frameworks, and business processes to ensure consistency and continued alignment with strategic and operational outcomes of the Commission
• manage the delivery of the enterprise governance framework, including the organisational planning cycle, preparation of corporate documents, and other complex high profile, strategic corporate artefacts
• lead the development, reporting and continuous improvement of Commission performance measures in alignment with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act)
• lead the implementation of enterprise-level change frameworks and tools that promote visibility of strategic initiatives, support change adoption and readiness, and foster alignment across teams
• drive the adoption of practical, human-centred change management approaches across the Commission
• provide timely and expert advice that informs recommendations and decisions
• prepare executive briefings, papers and advice for senior executives, committees and the Minister
• execute delegations with due consideration for good administrative decision making, legislative obligations and Commission policies.
