We have an opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to support the Senior Manager, Corporate Pricing to provide product and pricing terms for a specified portfolio of clients by performing pricing and profit testing within agreed timelines.
This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
To do this successfully you will :
- Ensure all pricing activities follow AIA Pricing Strategy, sign off & governance procedures across Actuarial, Product, Operations, Reinsurance and Group Office guidelines.
- Conduct regular loss ratio analysis reviews to determine profitability and experience
- Ensure terms being quoted on are consistent with Risk Preference Statement and support installation of policies on the administration system where appropriate.
- Support Product team with due diligence reviews of customer disclosure material.
- Support Operations to ensure efficient policy insurance (and reinsurance) administration.
- Work together with the Strategic Partnership and Business Development teams in managing reinsurance terms for new corporate opportunities.
- Provide documentation in the form of Pricing Notes and assist in the development of the Risk Assessment Matrix where required.
- Support the Business Development and Strategic Partnership teams by meeting with intermediaries, reinsurers, prospects and clients on pricing issues.
- Tertiary qualified and has made some progress in Actuarial Fellowship qualifications
- Proven pricing experience of Life Insurance products, preferably with experience in group pricing
- Knowledge of the group insurance market preferred
- Understanding of the key drivers of the Group Insurance market preferred
- Sound understanding of actuarial concepts, capital, profit and value measures
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong Excel spreadsheet skills
- Understanding performance targets and measurement
