Description
Applications are now open for our Doctors in Training 2026 - Aeromedical Retrieval Registrar Positions in Tasmania.
We are offering five Aeromedical Retrieval Registrar positions, supporting a 24-hour, 7-day medical retrieval service for critically ill patients requiring hospital transfer both intra- and interstate on a call-out basis.
When not actively retrieving patients, the Retrieval Registrar is based at Launceston General Hospital (LGH) and rostered for 76 hours plus 10 hours of protected training time per fortnight in the LGH Intensive Care Unit, performing the duties of an ICU Registrar.
Retrieval Registrars may also be based in the LGH Department of Emergency Medicine, by negotiation.
This is a full-time, fixed-term, day-worker position with on-call duties, working 76 hours plus 10 hours of paid protected training per fortnight, starting from 2 February 2026 until 31 January 2027.
Negotiations for contracts of up to two years may be considered.
