We're Hiring! Occupational Therapist at Healthy Kids at Play (Werribee)!

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Healthy Kids at Play in Werribee, VIC. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating children with various developmental and physical challenges. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement therapy programs that enhance children's motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities, improving their daily lives.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children's motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and cognitive functionDevelop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findingsImplement therapy interventions to support children in achieving their developmental goalsCollaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, coordinated careMaintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomesAssist in designing and modifying assistive devices and environmental adaptationsEducate and train families and caregivers on strategies to support children's therapeutic progressParticipate in interdisciplinary clinical teams and contribute to research initiativesEnsure accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation

Skills

Strong communication skills with children, families, and team membersAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team settingKnowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practicesExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesCompassion and empathy towards children with special needs

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institutionCurrent AHPRA registration requiredExperience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities is preferred but not required for entry-level positions
