About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated and experienced Communication & Engagement Officer to join our Communities team to play a key role in the development and delivery of key communications and engagement initiatives across various channels, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and community relations for projects Australia-wide.
Reporting to the Group Communities & Indigenous Affairs Manager, you will be accountable for the following :
Develop and deliver key operations, project, and exploration communications
Coordinate and manage the delivery of community information sessions for various projects, ensuring effective engagement with local communities
Create and distribute communication materials related to external stakeholders, such as landholder notices for access, road, and construction impacts
Collaborate with internal teams to gather and disseminate information relevant to community and stakeholder communications
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, local authorities, and other external partners
Support the planning and execution of events and activities aimed at promoting community engagement and awareness
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to communication and stakeholder engagement
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have :
Tertiary qualification in Communications (or similar) preferred
Demonstrated experience in a similar role
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and systematic approach
Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently
Proficiency in technology and computer-based programs
