As our Regional Quality Assurance Manager , you will be responsible for managing and supervising the Quality Assurance System across our sites, ensuring compliance with Gategroup global Australia & NZ customer food safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement. This role aims to maintain ISO22000 Halal certification and compliance, including ongoing site improvements. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance QA & Operations, you will provide leadership, coaching, and ensure adherence to standards. This is a full-time position based onsite at the Mascot office , with a high level of travel expected . Building strong relationships with Unit Managers across the business is key to success in this role.
Your key focus areas :
- Coordinate with other functions to develop and improve food safety and quality management systems
- Manage daily QA tasks to meet objectives
- Drive KPI targets for Food Safety and Quality in Oceania (Australia & NZ)
- Ensure all reports meet KPI targets for Food Safety and Quality in the region
- Conduct and report on internal audits to management
- Liaise with governmental agencies regarding food safety compliance
- Maintain Food Safety system documentation
- Collaborate with staff to uphold safety standards and report findings
- Conduct supplier audits as required
- Discuss food safety and quality requirements with customers
- Review and approve site corrective actions for non-conformances
- Coordinate site customer audits
- Report on food safety and quality issues to management
- Work with Account Managers on customer complaints to ensure prompt corrective actions
- Record, analyze, and report product quality and service data
- Ensure effective food safety training for staff
- Lead and document meetings on QA and Food Safety, including HACCP, ISO22000, Halal, and compliance forums
- Participate in shift briefings and management meetings as needed
- Contribute to regional QA and food safety calls in Asia Pacific and Middle East (APME)
- Conduct internal audits of quality management systems and site infrastructure
- Arrange microbiological sampling and testing
- Perform floor inspections
About you :
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science / Technology or related fieldAt least 3 years’ experience in QA and Food SafetyPrevious experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or Regional QA Manager in a similar environmentProject management experience is a plusHACCP and / or ISO22000 certification within the last 3 yearsTraining in internal or external auditing is desirableStrong communication skills with internal and external stakeholdersMandatory experience with food safety and quality assuranceLegal work rights (full or restricted)If you want to be part of a team that helps make travel and culinary memories, join us!
