Peoplebank are recruiting for a Senior Cloud System Administrator (Azure) to work on an initial 12 month contract , working for our client in the Adelaide CBD . It is a hybrid working arrangement, but the role can NOT be done fully remotely.

As an Azure Cloud Systems Administrator you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure on a Microsoft Azure platform. This role will ensure the efficient, secure and cost-effective operation of Azure and Microsoft resources. This includes provisioning, deploying, configuring, operating and optimising technology infrastructure across virtual and cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to maintain and optimise technology infrastructure, executing updates and employing automation tools.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain Azure solutions (compute, storage, networking, and security) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Manage storage solutions ensuring redundancy and backup integrity.
• Configure tools and / or creates scripts to automate infrastructure tasks. Maintain operational procedures and check that they are followed, including adherence to security policies. Use infrastructure management tools to monitor load, performance, and security metrics.
• Manage and maintain the Databricks platform, ensuring optimal performance and security across workspaces, clusters, and jobs.
• Investigate and enable the resolution of operational and security-related issues. Provides reports and proposals for improvement to stakeholders.
• Contributes to the planning, installation, maintenance and acceptance of new and updated infrastructure components and infrastructure-based services. Aligns to service expectations, security requirements and other quality standards.
• Management and monitoring of billing.
• Provide tier 2 / 3 technical support
