Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, you will leverage all Great Southern Bank data sources to provide analytics, reporting, insights for business stakeholders.

You will help identify business opportunities that deliver customer growth, increased customer value and drive business outcomes by recommending data solutions.

You will be a key contributor to our Enterprise Data team and will help drive broader Great Southern Bank team members to make data led business decisions.

You will be flexible and creative to ensure the best data is used in each situation, while ensuring data has been appropriately tested, validated and manipulated before being distributed.

You will understand how data moves through a business i.e. Extract Transform Load (ETL) and you contribute to interrogating, mapping, validating and documenting data transformations between raw and modelled data layers.

• About you
• 3+ years in an analytics role
• Proven understanding of ETL Systems and Processes, ideally on a cloud data platform.
• Experience working with raw and complex data.
• Experience in data reporting and presentation, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate analysis of complex data to a non-technical audience.
• Essential_
• Tertiary qualification in business, finance, IT, computer science, mathematics, economics or equivalent
• Qualifications and experience in SQL to solve for analytical business problems.
• Desirable_
• Programming skills in relevant language i.e. Python, R, Scala, etc.
• Independent learning i.e. Datacamp, Kaggle etc.
• Highly Desirable : Experience on Cloud Data Service Offerings i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure etc.
• Experience with visualisation methods and tools (i.e. Power BI / Tableau).
• Databricks knowledge (& Certification) would by highly regarded
