Reporting to the Company Secretary, and liaising with the Board members of Southern Ports, the Board Administration Officers' accountabilities and functions primarily include performing executive administrative duties for the Board of Directors of Southern Ports.
The Board Administration Officer will work closely with the Company Secretary in ensuring the Boards effective governance and oversight of Southern Ports.
Responsibilities will include providing a comprehensive administrative service such as coordinating the collation and issuing of reports, setting up meetings, taking minutes, arranging travel and undertaking research and developing reports on behalf of the Board. The role will be responsible for ensuring all information and documentation is processed, maintained, monitored, and filed in accordance with Southern Ports record keeping protocols.
This 3 months fixed term position, based in our Bunbury or Perth office, will appeal to a suitably qualified person with governance experience in supporting a Board or Executive team and will require innovative thinking and a calm, focused approach.
To be eligible for this fixed term role, applicants must reside or be willing to relocate to Bunbury or Perth and provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency. The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
