This role will assist in navigating technical uplift, maturity, and key delivery objectives.As the Senior Infrastructure Specialist, you'll lead the delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise systems spanning cloud (Azure), on-prem infrastructure, security, networking, and unified communications.
It's a hands-on role with technical ownership, stakeholder engagement, and the opportunity to directly influence infrastructure maturity.Key Responsibilities : Lead the infrastructure function, reporting to the Enterprise Systems Manager.Maintain and enhance core systems : VMware ESX, Windows Server, AD, SAN, DNS, DHCP, and Azure IaaS / PaaS.Manage cloud infrastructure including Entra AD, Azure Virtual Networks, VMs, Storage, and Resource Manager.Provide Level 2 / 3 support and oversee incident, problem, and change processes in line with ITIL.Drive infrastructure improvement initiatives aligned with business needs and best practices.Collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.Technical Environment : Hybrid infrastructure (On-Prem & Azure)Network technologies (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls)Azure Landing Zone and Resource ManagementUnified Communications / VC systemsServiceNow, Azure DevOps (desirable)Exposure to Linux environments (desirable)Ideally you'll have;Proven experience in system and network administration across hybrid environments.Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, automation, and security best practices.Ability to translate technical issues into business language and engage with stakeholders at all levels.Analytical mindset with a focus on stability, efficiency, and long-term improvements.Experience working in structured IT environments (Federal Government experience highly regarded).Why This Role?This is a great opportunity to join a nationally significant organisation that values practical, well-engineered solutions.
