Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.

Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation.

The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere.

Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef.

The plant employs approximately 420 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.

About the Role

The JBS Riverina Plant is currently recruiting an Apprentice Fitter to join the Maintenance team in a full-time capacity.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide support across the Plant to ensure the availability, reliability and capability of plant assets in a beef processing environment.

This is an outstanding opportunity to kick start your Apprenticeship with a global organisation at a local level close to home.

We are open to receiving applications from candidates at any stage of their apprenticeship.
