Senior Traffic and Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic and Transportation Engineer to join a highly skilled team. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing traffic and transportation solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability. If you have a strong background in traffic engineering, exceptional technical skills, and a passion for shaping transportation systems of the future, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities : Lead and manage the planning, design, and implementation of traffic and transportation projects.Conduct traffic impact assessments, feasibility studies, and transportation planning initiatives.Develop and evaluate transportation improvement strategies, including road network optimization, traffic signal coordination, and intelligent transportation and review traffic control plans, roadway geometrics, and traffic calming measures.Perform traffic flow analyses, capacity assessments, and modeling using industry-standard software.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and stakeholders, to ensure comprehensive and integrated transportation updated on emerging trends and technologies in traffic engineering and transportation planning.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff members.Prepare technical reports, project proposals, and presentations for internal and external compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.Qualifications / Training / Experience : Tertiary qualification in relevant field and extensive relevant experience.Extensive experience in Traffic and Transport investigation, modelling, analysis, strategic and detail planning, and reporting.Extensive experience in solving complex traffic related matters.Extensive experience in MRWA Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) RAV network applications, including the MRWA Accredited Mass Management Scheme (AMMS).Extensive experience in accredited Road Safety Auditing (valid qualification as an Accredited Road Safety Auditor desirable).Experience in Municipal Design, including roads.Experience in Project Management of complex municipal projects.Possession of Current C Class Drivers Licence. 40AUD Australia - WAPerthFremantle & Southern SuburbsArmadale6112
