- About The Role
You will play a vital role in identifying and managing risks effectively inline with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of a Compliance Officer include, but are not limited to :
Maintain NDIS Registration, ensuring all documentation are current.Ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date to align with NDIS requirements.Prepare the organisation for NDIS Audits, resulting in successful compliance outcomes.Educate and train staff on NDIS regulations and industry best practice, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Support internal and external audit processesCollect, organise and maintain data for reporting and compliance activitiesInvestigate incidents, complaints and compliance breaches, implementing corrective measure and prevention strategies.Maintain a safe environment for both staff and clients through regular fire equipment checks and adherence to safety standards.Fulfilled HR duties, including comprehensive orientation for new staff, ensuring compliance in staff files and HR recordsPrepare employee contracts, advertised roles, conducted interviews, and oversee the onboarding of new staffAbout YouExcellent communication (both written and verbal) skills with the ability to communicate with providers, participants and their families effectively.Proficient in report writingHigh computer literacy with the knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Attention to detailAbility to work in a team environment and autonomouslyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to prioritize and self-motivateAbility to take directionSincere interest in the disability sector and mental healthAbility to work with culturally diverse communities and individualsRequired Experience, Skill and QualificationsRelevant Qualifications including (desirable) :Certificate III or higher in Health Service Assistance / Individual Support / Aged Care / Community or alternatively current nursing degree students that have completed their aged care placement.Previous compliance experience in the aged care or community services industry.NDIS Worker Screening ClearanceNDIS Worker Orientation Module CertificateA current drivers' licenceA roadworthy and registered car with comprehensive car insuranceValid Police Check (renewable every three years)Working with Children's CheckValid First Aid / CPR CertificatePlease note it is a condition of employment to be fully vaccination against Covid-19 for this role.
