About the role
Administrative Officers within Oral Health work collaboratively with the entire multi-disciplinary Oral Health team to provide excellent customer service and administrative support to ensure effective and efficient delivery of Oral Health services to eligible clients. This role is based at Ipswich Community Dental Clinic, but there may be an occasional requirement to work at other dental clinics.
Public dental services are delivered in a range of facilities including mobile vans, school and community dental clinics. Clinical services are provided by dentists, dental specialists, dental prosthetists, an orthodontist and oral health / dental therapists supported by administrative officers, dental assistants and dental technicians. The service provides health promotion and education through the Oral Health Promotion van and partnerships with local organisations.
Adult services are provided through a network of 17 dental chairs with the main site being the Ipswich Community Dental Clinic. School dental services are provided to approximately 120 schools through fixed (8) and mobile (14) clinics.
