Our client is seeking a highly skilled financial professional to support the Executive Manager of Financial Performance in delivering key financial initiatives and ensuring accountability across strategic programs and services. This short-term role is perfect for someone with strong public sector finance experience and a passion for driving results.

Position : Financial AccountantLocation : Palmerston, NTWork Type : Full Time Hours – 3 Months contractRoster : Monday to FridayPay rate : $75.10 / hour flat rate -WeeklypayStart : ImmediateKey ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership in financial management and reporting functions.Lead or contribute to the development of financial policies and frameworks.Oversee external audits and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.Conduct financial risk assessments and ensure effective controls are in place.Deliver Annual Financial Statements with accuracy and timeliness.Monitor and review Long-Term Financial Plans aligned to service levels and funding options.Perform balance sheet and grant reconciliations.Our Ideal CandidateTertiary qualifications in Accounting or a related field, with 3+ years of accounting and 1+ year in management.Experienced in public sector financial reporting, audits processes, and delivering Annual Financial Statements.Strong in financial risk management, policy development, and long-term planning.RequirementsCurrent C Class Driver's LicenceValid Police Check ( or can obtain)
