Base pay range $160,000.00 / yr - $250,000.00 / yr

ECG Engineering is a leader in the Electrical and Control Systems Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling, and Industrial sectors. We have extensive and proven capabilities in Australia and around the world.

We are seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our Control Systems team for our African construction projects. You will coordinate and drive commissioning on a range of mineral processing projects in Africa. These projects, driven by ECG from the study phase, are now entering final construction, commissioning, and handover.

Key Requirements : Solid understanding of technical (E, I&C) principles and experience in developing and designing Control Systems for complex industrial plants and assets. Experience working in a specialised electrical / control systems team from pre-commissioning to final closeout, ideally with remote plant (Africa) experience. Control systems design experience, ideally with exposure to Allen-Bradley PLCs and Citect SCADA. Ability to contribute effectively in meetings, exercise good judgment, collaborate, and execute commissioning reporting to maintain project momentum. This role will be FIFO from Australia to Africa on a 6-2 roster, working with an established project and engineering team in Perth and our site electrical crews.

To be considered for the role of Lead Commissioning Engineer - Control Systems, you need solid commissioning experience on complex, high-value projects in remote locations. While the project duration is 3-5 months, ECG Engineering hires for the long term, not just for projects.

As these projects transform into operational plants, you may have the option to move onto a range of ECG's other ongoing projects in the minerals and metals space in our Perth or Brisbane office.
