• About the role

We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Dandenong site on a full time basis. In this role, you will take a lead in implementing and managing effective proactive maintenance system across our site in order to achieve maximum utilisation of machinery and cost effective maintenance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fitter to be part of our maintenance team and work in conjunction with our Engineering team, developing new manufacturing concepts and innovative products.

• Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will
• Identify and support pro-active maintenance work to maximize the life of assets and prevent functional failure of assets
• Identify and support site maintenance improvement plan, including implementing maintenance best practices, monitoring performance and setting team expectations
• Increase plant reliability, performance efficiency through minimizing unscheduled and unplanned plant interruptions
• Prioritise and attend all repairs, work against the maintenance schedule, targeting reduced down time and increase plant efficiency.
• Maintain and work with the MEX maintenance software package for PMs, spare parts inventory, maintenance history etc.
• Conduct safety inspections and comply with all health and safety regulations and practices as per company requirements.
• About you

You will be a hands on Trade Qualified Fitter. You will also have demonstrated experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of metal production lines. You will be a team player, flexible and accompanied with a strong knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance procedures.

We are seeking someone who has a passion for pro-active maintenance and has demonstrated success in fault finding and root cause analysis.

You will also have :

• Solid understanding and experience using maintenance software systems (MEX software).
• Sound knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems, with experience in developing and implementation of a site maintenance strategy
• Experience in maintaining Turret and perforation machines are an advantage.
• Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics an advantage.
• Fault finding and trouble shooting skills.
