Project Manager (Engineering)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Control Systems Engineering to join a core project team supporting a major mining client.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead high-impact IT / OT and automation projects that drive innovation, safety, and operational excellence across mining operations.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will be the key interface between engineering consultants, internal stakeholders, and project teams. Your technical expertise in control systems and automation will be critical in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects that integrate cutting-edge technologies across mining infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage user requirements, engineering strategies, and scopes of work for control systems and IT / OT projects.
• Lead project delivery across all phases—from concept and design through to implementation and commissioning.
• Champion risk management, identifying and mitigating safety, technical, schedule, and commercial risks.
• Coordinate with engineering consultants and internal teams to ensure high-quality design and integration of control systems, infrastructure, and automation technologies.
• Manage project plans, schedules, and resources to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across engineering, IT, and operations.
• Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory standards.
• Provide clear and consistent reporting to senior leadership.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
