ANAESTHETIST CONSULTANT | EAST COAST - NSW Our clients based in New South Wales are currently looking for a Specialist in Anaesthesia to join their team.

Fast Facts : Staff specialist or VMOThe Position : Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes.

Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Provide best practice evidence based clinical services to achieve quality patient outcomes.Undertake supervision and education within the clinical environment of junior medical staff and other relevant staff to foster safe clinical practice.Utilise information systems to enable informed decision making and care planning.Communicate with staff and clinicians to ensure quality and continuity of care.Actively participate in risk management and quality programs to improve organisational processes and own practices.Comply with relevant legislation and regulations, NSW Ministry of Health policies and The health district procedures to assist in meeting Activity Based Funding, Commonwealth and State targets.Qualifications Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist (Anaesthesia) and / or overseas trained specialist pathway.Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia at the role delineation of the serviceDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.About the service : The Regional Referral Hospital is a 99 bed rural referral hospital.

It is the referral centre for the Northern Tablelands for non-tertiary care to NSW.

The Hospital provides acute health care services to residents.

Accommodation is provided for services in general medicine, surgery, day surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric, rehabilitation, anaesthetics, intensive care, and emergency.

Also on-site are renal dialysis (limited care), oncology, palliative care, radiology, pharmacy, pre-admission clinic, pain clinic, colposcopy clinic, orthopaedic / fracture clinic, stress testing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, and patient transport service.

It also shares an on-call area orthopaedic service with another close by hospital.

Hospital services are supported by a rehabilitation gymnasium, hydrotherapy pool, quiet room, staff and relative accommodation (Rusden House), library, hospital chapel, hospital auxiliary kiosk and trolley service, staff cafeteria, and seminar rooms.

A Red Cross Blood Bank, dental service, pathology service, mental health inpatient service (Clarke Centre), community health service, and private hospital are also located on the site but are managed separately
