Administration Officer

SEQR covers a geographic area that extends from Eurimbula National Park (Agnes Waters) in the north to Lamington National Park in the south and west to Rockybar State Forest in the North Burnett. SEQR includes more than 334 parks and forests (over 1,202,917 hectares), and includes 74 national parks, 105 conservation parks, 141 State forests, 5 timber reserves, 5 resources reserves and 4 forest reserves.

The regional office is based at Maroochydore, with operational and support staff located across 18 bases at Burleigh, Nerang, Springbrook, Canungra, Lamington, Samford, The Gap, Daisy Hill, Boonah, Maleny, Kenilworth, Tewantin, Gympie, Maryborough, Bundaberg, Agnes Waters, Monto and Mundubbera, and employ approximately 210 staff.

SEQR is the most densely populated and rapidly growing region in Queensland, and the high urban and peri-urban interface presents several management challenges, including high recreation pressures on parks and forests.
