This Account Manager position, based primarily in Brisbane, (you can live on the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast), is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company's customer base by primarily looking after existing customers and identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This role involves a combination of sales, marketing, and strategic planning to develop and implement plans to achieve sales targets, market share and generate profitable revenue.The role is responsible for the achievement of market share objectives and sales targets, achieved through a disciplined sales process to manage new and existing opportunities, primarily in public hospitals (most products on Qld state tenders) with some private hospital customer liaison.You will work closely with new and existing customers to determine present and future needs, proposing suitable products, services, and upgrades to maintain and grow revenue and you will identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting.You will act as the main interface between the customer and the organisation to ensure an optimal level of service is always provided and seek to understand the customer's objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes.You will build relationships with key decision makers, ensuring an appropriate cadence of face-to-face customer visits, in hospitals, to influence expanded use of existing products and conversion to new product introductions.You will build account management plans specific to territory market share, contract and new customer target needs, reviewing plans with manager at least once per quarter.You will prepare and participate in sales proposals, tenders / bids, contracts, and account management plans specific to your territory.You will conduct and participate in sales promotions, marketing campaigns, conference events and trade displays.WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO GET THE JOB
University qualifications in nursing, science or business or equivalent healthcare sales experience.You will have a consistent proven sales track record in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry (ideally 5 years); preferably in roles with exposure to all clinical and economic stakeholders in hospitals, such as procurement, NUMs, nurses & doctors.Highly desirable is sales experience of high-volume consumables.Ability to work independently with low level of supervision, inclusive of sales achievement and territory planning and time management.Full Australian Driver's License with no restrictions, with full Australian work rights.Interested?
